Katy Goens

Katy received a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Bellarmine University. She was an active member of campus ministry and was a resident assistant (RA) for freshmen girls before she graduated. She has worked in two local laboratories before coming to SMA. She is in her second year of pursuing her MAT and has enjoyed taking classes to assist in her teaching. 

This is Katy's third year at SMA. She was a 4th grade assistant two years ago before joining the middle school team last year. She coached a 7/8th volleyball team to a city championship in her first year and currently coaches a new 7th/8th volleyball team. 

Katy enjoys coaching volleyball at school and KIVA, riding rollercoasters and science!  She can even sing all the elements on the periodic table!
