Mr. Jack Richards

Jack has served as a member of the Saint Mary Academy family since 2025. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education, Master’s Degree in Education in Secondary Education, and School Leadership and Administration Endorsement from Indiana University. 

Jack began his teaching career at Our Lady of Providence High School where he taught Theology to 9th, 10th, and 12th grade students for seven years.  While at Providence, Jack was the boys and girls head tennis coach and also assisted with the girls soccer program. Following Providence, Jack became the Assistant Principal at St. Aloysius in Pewee Valley for one year.  For 19 years, Jack served as the Principal/Head of Schools at Holy Trinity Catholic School in St. Matthews and Clifton.  At SMA, he has served as the Principal since 2025. 

Jack enjoys watching sports, traveling, and golf. Jack and his wife, Anne, have two children. Ethan attends University of Notre Dame and Molly attends and plays soccer at Colgate University.
